Center Stage Dance Fitness Class Descriptions

“Classes for Body & Spirit”




GentleYoga – As we age we can lose strength, mobility and balance making every day activities more difficult.  Yoga help’s promote functional fitness for what exercise scientist call “activities of daily living” or ADI.  Come learn about yoga and its’ positive benefits leading to harmony of body, breath and mind.  This class provides a supportive environment to begin or continue your yoga journey.  Bring a yoga mat and a towel for additional neck and/or back support.  60 minute class - Recommended fitness level – beginner

Yoga Pilates Mix – A blend of Yoga and Pilates provides a balanced workout.  A Vinyasa or flow style of Yoga is utilized along with Pilates conditioning to strengthen the core muscles of the body.  Bring a yoga mat. 60 minute class -  Recommended fitness level - intermediate

Step/Pilates – This class begins with an energizing step aerobics session followed by a mat Pilates workout.  Pilates exercises are designed to strengthen your core muscles by developing pelvic stability and abdominal control.  Work at your own pace as this class can accommodate all fitness levels. Bring a water bottle, yoga mat and a good paid of athletic shoes. 60 minute class - Recommended fitness level – can accommodate all fitness levels
